Trinidadian rapper Theophilus London had an unfortunate run in with law enforcement last night (Monday, August 8th) while in New York City. Thankfully for us, he took the time to inform his fandom of the incident via a series of hilarious tweets. The arrest occurred after an altercation broke out between Theophilus and a cab driver.  Apparently, Theo had only $100 bills on him which the cab driver was either unable or unwillingly to break. He explains further on Twitter: “So he tried to keep my hundred while screaming in my face, so I gave him 5 mins to make change. After I counted down to 1, I took his phone and smashed it into 900 pieces, then I ran into the IFC Movie cinema and the cops ran up on me.”

Luckily for us, the story was at this point live tweeted by Theo himself, who announced his incarceration like this.

Things quickly turned worse for the “so sexy” Kanye West collaborator.

But all seemed to end well for the 29 year old who made a twitter poll for which clothes he should change into post-jail just a few short hours later. He even uploaded a video of him thanking “sarge” on his way out of prison.

While I’m glad Theophilus managed to stay out of trouble this time around, part of me is hoping that he gets arrested again real soon. Stay sexy, Theo.

Ian Connor’s been on the downward spiral recently.

A video earlier this month surfaced of him feuding with Kanye’s protégé Theophilus London and A$AP Bari, fueled by London’s comments about Connor being a rapist.

The first accusation of Connor’s egregious sexual history began with a WordPress post by Malika Anderson, graphically recounting the encounters with rape he’s allegedly been involved in.

Recently, another piece of insight furthering the evidence of Connor’s history was dug up, with a Twitter user posting up a DM conversation with the accused rapist that she had with him on Instagram, with Connor shouting threats and taunts at the poster.

It’ll be interesting to see how things play out between an ever-expanding list of people allegedly raped by Connor, who once said in a now deleted Twitter post: “If I Eat You Out or Buy You Something You Have No Choice but To Fuck Me. I’m As Serious As Can Be With This One.”

Tae Miles – “IMX”

Tae Miles has been making us wait and wait and wait for the release of his upcoming project, CurlPattern. He gave us a taste a little while back when he dropped “Landline”, which was his clever spin on Drake’s popular record, “Hotline Bling”, but since then it’s been fairly quiet; until this week. Tae is back with a new joint, titled “IMX” (or Immature, like the 90’s R&B trio) which he has labeled as CurlPattern’s first official single. Press play.

James Fauntleroy – “Sound So Sure”

James Fauntleroy is good for popping up out of the blue and giving us a jam. This week is no exception as he released “Sound So Sure”. Usually taking a soulful approach to his music, James switches things up a bit, on this one, channeling a more Alternative sound.

Theophilus London – “Stay”

In 2014, Theo dropped his crazy sophomore LP, Vibes, seemed to be building a close relationship with Kanye West, then he kind of faded away. But since we have new music, let’s give the him the benefit of the doubt here, and say he’s been MIA because he has been working. His upcoming album, NY THEO, is prepped for a summer release. GoldLink – “Celebration Freestyle”

No strangers to collaborating with one another, GoldLink and Kaytranada clique up once again; this time for “Celebration”, which is an ode to the fact that the DMV spitter celebrated his 23rd birthday, this week. It has been a while since we heard from Fab A, who has been working, but maintaining a relatively low profile. This week he emerged from the shadows and did work on Drake’s “Grammy”. Peep it.
