The Weeknd performed his song “Earned It” last night on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in promotion for the release of 50 Shades of Grey, out today. “Earned It” is one of two singles from the film’s soundtrack, boasting a number of high-profile artists like Beyonce, Sia, and Annie Lennox.

Though the sultry appeal of the film itself is up left up your own judgment, this track is certainly steamy and encapsulates much of what this crooner is known for: heart-wrenching ballads with a mesmerizing stage presence to match. Last night, on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Future and Pusha T performed “Move That Dope” from Future’s latest album, Honest, which dropped this week. It’s his first album since his 2012 debut, Pluto, which had five hit singles, including “Magic” and “Tony Montana.” Honest is more solemn, with darker undertones and introspective lyrics. It’s more gritty than light hearted, with songs like “Sh!t” and “Move That Dope” that recount life in the hood. Although it was hard to discern his word choice on The Tonight Show—was Future saying “dope” or “dough?” “Nigga” or something else?—Fallon clearly introduced the song as “Move That Dough.”

Even so, the pair, accompanied by The Roots, gave a great performance. Future looked fresh in his white jeans and sunglasses (which he never took off), and Pusha T killed it with his energy and strong delivery. By booking the two, Fallon was clearly trying to appeal to his increasingly younger audience and perhaps Future was trying to send a message, too. “Move That Dope” might be about selling drugs, but on a deeper level, it’s about the reality of being a young black men growing up in a society without equal opportunities or choices.
