The Weeknd recently hit up Zane Lowe‘s Maida Vale Studios on BBC. He cooked up four acoustic versions of songs off Trilogy. “Wicked Games,” “The Zone,” “The Knowing” and “Montreal” have all been stripped down and left with nothing but Abel’s soulful crooning. Listen below.

The Weeknd finally drops his very first official video, for “The Knowing”, directed by Mikael Columbu. That’s Mikael Columbu, Mikael Columbu, people, in case you got confused as to who directed this one-of-a-kind ‘motion picture’, with the slew of credit rolls and all. Shout outs to The Weeknd and the entire XO crew. Well done.

Remember all those unofficial videos for the Weeknd? There was H5C’s “The Morning,” another for “What You Need,” and Storm Saulter’s version of “Wicked Games.”  Well, released today on the French filmmaker Mikael Colombu’s Facebook is this photo, which later confirmed by the Weeknd that this will be his first visual off his much praised House of Balloons. But it won’t just be a video, rather Colombu and Abel Tesfaye plan to direct together a short-film for “The Knowing.” Expect the man behind Cee-Lo Green’s “Bodies” to reveal more teaser pictures, and even the release date soon.
