The 58th Grammy Awards was filled with the best of the best throughout the music spectrum at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday night (Feb. 15).

And while other red carpets for music events have showcased some over the top and more eccentric looks, those who attended this year’s Grammys seemed to want to keep things classy while showing off their personal styles. While The Weeknd and Justin Bieber went for the more classic tailored suits and tuxes. Then Wiz Khalif rocked a shorter blazer. Meanwhile the ladies, for the most part, kept things in the monochorme family, sexy, and chic. Black seemed to be the color of the night and you know you can never go wrong with black.

Adele, Ciara and The Weeknd‘s girlfriend, model Bella Hadid, decided to wear black while a very pregnant Chrissy Teigen rocked a white frock. Newcomer Andra Day stunned the crowed in her old Hollywood glam . Then there’s pop stars like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, andArina Grande who plays by their own rules. Lady Gaga paid homage to legend David Bowie with a wild new hair color and lavish gown to match her eccentric style. The 2016 Grammy Awards, presented by The National Recording Academy, will have three heavy hitters taking the stage as Kendrick Lamar, Adele, and The Weeknd are the first performers to be announced for the star-studded event.

Lamar, who has won two Grammys before, is leading the nominees with 11 nods, including Album of the Year for his stellar 2015 contribution, To Pimp a Butterfly

Adele, who snatched up six Gramophone trophies in one night in 2012, will make a return to the Grammy stage after releasing her 2015 project, 25. The British songtress will be performing a song from her critically acclaimed album.

The Weeknd, who’s not too far behind with seven nominations, will be making his first-ever Grammy debut at the ceremony.

“I was shocked at how many I was nominated for and how diverse the categories were. It’s really important to me that I wasn’t thrown in one category because of how I look or how I sing,” he said.

The Grammy Awards will also be honoring Lionel Richie in a special tribute as he’s the 2016 MusicCares Person of the Year. With nearly fifty years in music industry, Richie has crafted chart-topping hits like “All Night Long,” “Hello” and “Truly.” And with him and Adele in attendance, we can only hope for a duet or something based on their two popular songs, both titled “Hello.”

The 2016 Grammy Awards, with host LL Cool J, will air live from Los Angeles on Feb. 15 at 8PM ET on CBS.
