After sending hints across social media, leaving fans in anticipation, T.I. decided to lace the streets with a brand new EP. The sound certainly steals our attention for the meantime, as we await The Dime Trap album in its entirety.

Having been given a taste of the music with “Check, Run It” the five track presentation upholds the go-hard theme, that only T.I. could bring us. Laced with distinctive bars and energizing beats, this is definitely worth a listen. Of course no project would be complete without ATL appearances, so Young Thug and Dro bring familiarity to the tone.

T.I.is working on his 10th studio album which was previously titled Trap Opens. In a recent interview, he let us know that his new album will now be The Dime Trap. It sounds like T.I. is focused & calls his new music an extension of what he was putting out during the Trap Muzik season. Check out what he had to say to MovieWeb below:

Movieweb: Is there anything else you have on the music front that you can talk about?

T.I.: “My tenth album, The Dime Trap, I’m working on it. I just released the first teaser from it yesterday and it’s going to be an extension or a continuation of the vibe from Trap Muzik. I feel like, when you’ve done hits like “Whatever You Like” and “Dead and Gone,” when you do those mainstream kind of “Blurred Lines”-ish kind of records, you don’t go and try to top “Blurred Lines.” You just come to a whole new element, bring it back down and build the process back over again. I’m breaking it all down, back to the element of where my music first began to interest people, and build it all over again.”
