Having already heard lead single “The Answer,” and momentum-building EP Cigarette Burns, we were more than excited to hear Apollo Brown‘s full LP, Thirty Eight. Apollo’s album cover, that bleak, grainy image of a heap of strange guns, is a great first piece of knowledge to hold on to when traversing the album. As Apollo’s beats wash over you, some dramatic, some gritty, some intimate, it’s grounding, and haunting, to remember what all those guns might have meant for the soul behind these sounds.
