Tha Jerm is a Queens professional in every aspect of musical production.  Recognized for his previous work with some of hip-hop’s heavyweights, his credits include Lloyd Banks, Dave East, Schoolboy Q, A$AP Rocky, Mr. Probz, Jadakiss, Styles P, Danny Brown, French Montana, Tony Yayo + more.  This time, he delivers an entire project to showcase his capabilities as an executive producer.  For Tha Jerm, it’s more than just making beats.

Destiny To The Riches is about showcasing the skill to put together quality projects, as Jerm has done in the past with artists like Dave East and Lloyd Banks.  He states, he’s been acknowledged for his street material for a long time but has always had different styles within his production catalog.  With the right artists, and chemistry, he delivered just what he needed.

“This entire project is a journey. My journey and a journey for anyone else who is going through something or has been in a lost place. It tells a story about love, struggle, happiness, sadness and more. It ends in a place where I am at peace & “Born Again” Long from the start where in the beginning where I am “Falling” & “Stuck On What To Do”. My definition of riches isn’t money or wealth. It’s a mind-state, my blessings and the things that surround me & bring me joy. We all have a destiny & a purpose, so Destiny To The Riches can be summarized as the journey to happiness and complete alignment with self & the universe”.

With guest appearances from ​Sune, Kalipop, Gist The Essence, Mike Classic, Dave East Lester London & Pash​, you’ll find that this album exhibits the various sounds Tha Jerm has in the vault.  From R&B to hardcore hip-hop, Destiny To The Riches is an enjoyable project folks should definitely check for.​  Following the release of ​this ​project, ​we ​can look forward to new singles​ along with other projects Jerm is geared up to release first and second quarter of 2019.

Queens, New York and Canada connect on Tha Jerm’s latest offering, “Ching”.

Montreal singer/songwriter, Kalipop, links with SOI’s producer/engineer Tha Jerm, to provide an ideal vibe over perfectly composed production. The pair have worked together in the past on various projects, including Kalipop’s most recent album, NEON, which was exclusively engineered and mixed by Jerm, and also featured his production on several tracks.  You may be familiar with his sound in the world of hardcore hip-hop, as Tha Jerm has worked with many veteran rappers such as Dave East, Lloyd Banks, Jim Jones, SchoolBoy Q,  Danny Brown, French Montana, Styles P, Jadakiss, and more.  This time around, the goal was to deliver something out of the ordinary.

Producers are often the unsung heroes of the music industry. There’s only a select few of Just Blazes and Timbalands for every plethora of producers that reach parallel levels of notoriety as the artists spitting the verse, even on Hip-hop’s most monumental songs. Generally, the vast amount of people behind the scenes, remain that way. Over the past few decades, aside from fans knowing a producer’s signature sound, fans knowing the producer or DJ’s catchy drop was the most you could ask for.

Thanks to “On the Spot Sessions”, set up by MaschineMasters.com and ProducersGear.com, the viewing public get an intimate view of record engineering and production. In this episode, we see super producer Tha Jerm of SOI (whose catalog includes Lloyd Banks, Dave East, Jadakiss, Danny Brown, and French Montana) depicting every step of his creative process, from receiving tracks he samples from, creating the skeleton, adding his preferable amount of percussion to the actual emcee, Queens’ own, Gist, who pens the dope 16—motivated by the fire gospel sounds produced on the spot.
