Terrace Martin caught the attention of everyone when he performed the saxophone alongside Kendrick Lamar during his performances at Saturday Night Live and David Letterman. He hit the studio to remix “Poetic Justice” using his sax and it’s super dope. It adds a soulful element to the track and showcases Martin’s skills on the sax. Expect a lot more great things from this California native.

Just a few days ago, Compton based rapper Problem was featured on the new track from Terrace Martin, “Something Else.”  Now, the MC hooks up with Bay Area based Iamsu! for their collaborative project Million Dollar Afro. The project features collaborations with the Bay Area Legend Too Short, as well as Juvenile and Wiz Khalifa. Multi-talented Terrace Martin‘s upcoming album 3ChordFold sounds like it’s going to be a great project. From features with Teedra Moses, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt and more that have already leaked from the album, which was originally slated for a 2012 release, the project seems like an eclectic blend of great music. To hold fans over until the album is released, Martin is releasing a new track in the form of “Why,” featuring TDE counterpart Jay Rock and Wendi Vaugn.  The track that was co-produced with Willie B of TDE’s Digi+Phonics, however, will not be on the album due to clearance issues regarding the sample.
