Pop culture’s favorite and outspoken celebrity, Amber Rose teams up with Zoobe to break barriers in the tech world with the introduction of her first 3D character. Amber’s army of “Rosebuds” will be able to customize her character into their own alter ego to express themselves and communicate as Amber Rose in the digital world. Rose is giving her fans the unprecedented opportunity to use their physical appearance and personality in this fashion. With her new character, Amber aims to elevate her MUVA presence in the social world.

According to the Associated Press of Las Vegas, Chinese drone maker Ehang Inc, on Wednesday, unveiled what it calls the world’s first drone capable of carrying a human passenger.

The China-based company revealed the Ehang 184 at the CES gadget show. In a recent video showing it flying, it looks like a small helicopter, but with four doubled propellers spinning parallel to the ground like other drones. The electric-powered drone can be fully charged in two hours, carry up to 220 pounds and fly for 23 minutes at sea level, according to Ehang. The cabin fits one person, has a small backpack and even has air conditioning and a reading light. With propellers folded up, it’s designed to fit in a single parking spot.

“A passenger would have no controls as a backup”, he said. In the event of a problem the company plans to create a remote control center that would take over the vehicle and ensure it lands safely, Ehang spokesperson said.

It is designed to fly about 1,000 to 1,650 feet off the ground, with a maximum altitude of 11,500 feet and top speed of 63 miles per hour.

At the latest CES technology expo, LG will be one of many TV makers to present an impressive lineup of super-duper-high-definition TVs. There’s one thing that makes LG  a force to be reckon. The 18-inch display is just one of the concept designs LG will be unveiling, as it attempts to predict the future of television screens. Also on display will be a 55-inch TV that is as thin as a piece of paper and a 65-inch “extreme-curve” set of TVs that bend inwards and outwards.

None of these TV will be sold this year — and it’s possible they may never hit stores.

Like automakers’ “concept cars,” LG‘s TVs are meant to show off what’s possible, even if it’s not yet marketable, affordable or able to be mass-produced for customers.

TV makers continue to raise the bar, developing ultra-high definition televisions that produce richer pictures, and thinner profiles. But those TVs are becoming virtually indistinguishable from one another. It’s concepts like LG‘s that may one day push the industry forward into new markets and technologies it hasn’t yet considered.

Apple releases the latest OS X update seed to developers, revealing a pleasant surprise.

Apple is working with the Unicode Consortium, the group that standardizes emojis, to bring a brand new selection of racially diverse emojis. Developers have reported that it looks as though these emojis will have interchangeable swatches that can change a Caucasian emoji to a variety of different skin colors. There will be six different options for hair and skin, accessible through a dropdown menu on each icon in apps such as Messages for Mac. The new emojis will only show up on supported devices, so do not forget to update your iPhone/iPad.

It’s that time again: new gadgets and tech devices to add on your Holiday wish-list.

First up: online retailer Amazon has revealed the Echo, a connected speaker that is always on and thanks to our voice, the speaker can provide us with information, music, news, weather, and more. Very similar to Siri, the cylindrical speaker even hears your voice while it’s playing music. This device features Bluetooth connectivity, as well as accessibility through an app for Android and Fire OS (or web browser for iOS users).

The Amazon Echo will be available for a retail price of $199 or $99 if you are a Prime member for a limited time, and it can only be ordered through an invite from the company. Just in time for the holidays.
