]]> skinnyThere’s an immediate first-person response that comes with listening to Skinny. Like a boastful Kanye, the MC skilfully bridges high-energy beats with grimy trap grooves. On his new track, “Talk 4 Me,” the weight of these influences doesn’t conceal his capabilities. The track in itself seems to have all the makings of a hit–it’s absorbing and heavy with more than enough power to meet the world’s energy needs. “I’m not asking for people to like me. I want people to talk about me, to respect me. My music is going to do some damage,” he told RESPECT.

Hailing from Saudi Arabia, Skinny offers up a sophisticated, scattered flow and vivid images. “I came to the game with all odds against me / So you sweatin’? You nervous? Why? Cause your bitch spittin’ my verses. My beats break necks so bring the hearses / A skinny sand nigga with a crew full of turbans,” he flows over the hard-hitting, self-produced beat.

Low-riders, turbans and doo-rags are all on display in “Talk 4 Me,” which can be found on Skinny’s upcoming project, Elephants and Ice Cream, which serves as his debut EP, scheduled for release later this year.
