The Pro+ Am Collection originated as a project to put together four different professional model shoes with colorways redesigned by four different amateur skaters. So far Supra has produced collabs such as Boo Johnson and Lizard King, Erik Ellington and Spencer Hamilton, Terry Kennedy and Kevin Romar, and now Stevie Williams and Keelan Dadd.

The new addition has black and turquoise padded mesh lining, black/hot-pink rope laces, and it is constructed on a unique, translucent, hot-pink cup sole. It also comes with a PRO + AM Collection hang tag and sock liner. Keelan treated the S1W to a black, snakeskin-embossed suede upper with black patent leather, black suede, and turquoise and hot-pink accents.

“Yeah, the shoe is pretty wild,” Keelan said of his take on the Stevie Williams S1W. “I chose the hot-pink because that’s a pretty strong color to be wearing—you gotta have some confidence to be able to pull that shoe off, you know? But, yeah, I just like wild shoes sometimes, crazy colors, just switch up my swag a little bit here and there. And I’ve just been hyped on the whole PRO + AM Collection all year. Since this is the last one, I wanted it to be a banger. I think everyone is gonna be hyped on it.”

Hyped is an understatement at this point. With the S1W being the last sneaker in the Pro + Am Collection, it is going to be a tough running to see what Supra comes up with next. SUPRA is pleased to announce a series of exhibitions at SUPRA retail locations of Mike Miller’s photographs. The first exhibit begins at SUPRA Paris on Thursday, September 27 with an opening reception from 7-11pm. The show runs until October 24.

Michael Miller, not to be confused with hoopers or rappers, is best known for being your favorite photographer’s favorite photographer. In the 1980’s, his work caught the attention of DJ Muggs, producer for Cypress Hills, and the two immediately hooked up for a series of photo-shoots. The resulting images, which became the cover art for a Cypress Hill demo, was the first in a long series of hip hop photographs shot over the course of two decades. Miller has shot over 500 album covers and portraits of everyone from Eazy-E and Redman to Snoop Dogg and Tupac. In fact, Mr. Miller is responsible for some of the most well known, intimately shot photos of Tupac Shakur ever seen around the world. Plus, he’s featured in Volume 3 Issue 3 of RESPECT.

Needless to say, SUPRA couldn’t have picked a more accomplished photographer to honor in their 5 week long exhibition tour. After the SUPRA Paris exhibition, the work will travel to SUPRA NYC for an opening reception on November 1, from 7-11pm, and will be on display until November 28. From NYC, the exhibit will be shipped to the most recent SUPRA location in Santa Monica, CA. SUPRA Santa Monica will host the photographs from December 6 to January 2, with an opening reception on Thursday, December 6 from 7-11pm.

Besides the iconic hip-hop images that will be on display, each exhibit will offer signed copies of Miller’s newest book, a series of limited edition t-shirts, and special custom made t-shirts only available to that unique exhibit location. After the sun set and (most) bloggers finally put away their computers, Supra and A-Morir set up shop at The Wooly to present their newest collaboration, the Skytop for Women. The lucky attendees mingled among like-minded folk, snapped pics of the very exclusive kicks and, of course, took advantage of the open bar. Meanwhile, those in the back room got their dance on as DJs Nick Catchdubs and Radio Rose spun everything from Nicki Minaj to Pharrell and beyond. It was a night to celebrate nice new things, and that we did.
