<div> We recently sat down with Virginia-based collective <strong>Breezepark</strong>. We talked about Virginia&#8217;s music scene, success, their recent visual for &#8220;<em>Stay Up Late</em>,&#8221; and more. In case you never heard of them, the four-member collective has received a cosign from VA&#8217;s finest, Pusha T, so they&#8217;re well on their way.</div>
</div>
<div></div>
<div><strong>RESPECT.:</strong> <strong>A lot has changed since we premiered your &#8220;<em>Stay Up Late</em>&#8221; visual a few months ago?</strong></div>
<div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>Yeah absolutely! We&#8217;re coming off the release of our debut project &#8220;Strangers EP&#8221; and definitely enjoying watching it move and reach new ears.</i>&#8220;</div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>Do you think the video allowed the fans to really anticipate your latest release in the time between the video and project?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>For sure, the visual for &#8220;Stay Up Late&#8221; gave fans a peek at the energy we were going for and gave them a taste of what to expect somewhat. As much as it could at least, the project is really intricate and has a few layers to it as far as sound and concept, so we hope to have surprised everyone with it, but &#8220;SUL&#8221; definitely was that first glimpse for everyone and got people really excited.</i>&#8220;</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>Fast forward the day the album drops, are you guys excited? Nervous?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>Beyond excited. We were looking forward to seeing how people were gonna react to that first project from us. After all the work we put into it, it was a huge day for us to be able to hand it over to the fans. Definitely a rewarding feeling and we already can&#8217;t wait for the next project.</i>&#8220;<i> (</i>Laughs<i>)</i></div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>Word, how did Martin $ky become a part of the project?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>We reached out to him through email actually and he was down to work with us, so over a few weeks we put together this crazy beat with him back and forth via email, next thing you know we had an even crazier song!</i>&#8220;</div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>Was the project recorded in Chicago or anywhere else outside of Virginia?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>Well we were down here working on the final layers of &#8220;Strangers'&#8221;and he was doing some shows up in Chicago at the time, so he made the beat up there and we recorded it in our home studio in Rye&#8217;s house in Suffolk.</i>&#8220;</div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.:</b><strong> On the topic of Virginia, how do you feel about the success of Goldlink, D.R.A.M., Young Money Yawn and Kali Uchis?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>Virginia has always been a home to artists. Great ones at that. What&#8217;s happening in VA now is that people are finally giving it the credit that it deserves because there&#8217;s so much talent here, man. It&#8217;s really crazy right now especially with those names you mentioned and more. We&#8217;re happy to see artists make strides and put on for VA because the talent out here needs to be recognized for sure.</i>&#8220;</div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>In addition to rap,  are you guys also going to be acting or modeling?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>We wanna do everything to be honest. Once we establish the music and take our steps musically, we&#8217;re always down to expand our horizons and express ourselves in any way possible.</i>&#8220;<i> </i></div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>Biggest influences?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>On a current note, we&#8217;re always watching new artists, so we&#8217;re super into what artists like Goldlink, Mick Jenkins, Hurt Everybody, and Alex Wiley are doing right now.</i>&#8220;</div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>Do you all individually have projects coming out in the near future?</strong></div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>It&#8217;s funny you ask because we do actually have some individual things in the works at the moment. Ty Safari is working on his project &#8216;Transactions&#8221; and that should be coming soon. Some other things are in the works too, so be on the look out.</i>&#8220;<i> </i></div>
<div></div>
<div><b> </b></div>
<div><b>RESPECT.: </b><strong>How can people get in contact with y&#8217;ll?</strong></div>
</div>
<div></div>
<div><i><strong>BP:</strong> </i>&#8220;<i>Hit us up via Twitter <strong>@breezexpark</strong> or email <a href="mailto:breezeparkinfo@gmail.com" target="_blank">breezeparkinfo@gmail.com</a>.&#8221;</i></div>
