The Spaniard-born MC Cresone, otherwise known as Cres, has linked up with renown producer !llmind to drop an ill video, “No Matter What“. The two have collaborated in the past with New York-based artists such as Skyzoo, Fresh Daily, and more, and are now back with some new material.

The record is off their collaborative album Hybr!d and features another vocalist, Seer (from the collective Z). The visuals themselves are extremely on point from beginning to end— the artists traveled their way down to Mexico to shoot it during the Dia De Los Muertos celebration. The lyrics themselves speak to an artist’s perseverance and loyalty to the grind, while at the same time dismissing any false intruders looking to corrupt pure intentions through the music.

All in all, if you’re looking for some underground videos that actually spew creativity and a hard work ethic, “No Matter What” is the artist putting his best foot forward.

Cres is now temporarily based in New York on promotion for his new album. Check him out at some of NY’s most popular venues in the next coming months.

Spanish street artist Aryz has gone back to his roots in Spain and created a mural somewhere in the Bilbao region. He worked quickly through this piece, presenting some of his newest skeleton work. Aryz shared some words in regards to how the community reacted when this piece was done:

Quite a few neighbors didn’t like it that much and as a consequence I had some issues during the process. As I’ve said more than once I don’t paint nice imagery to have public acceptance… of course I don’t paint either to have a bad time, but sometimes you have to deal with certain things when you are on the street.

Spanish street artist Deih produces impressive murals with sharp, illustrations. He completed his latest mural in Valencia, Spain, for the Poliniza Street Art Festival. The artist likes to explore a universe of strangeness where rarity is appreciated. He is “fascinated by the strangeness of life,” which is conveyed in his curious figures.

Mobstr, utilizes stencils to diffuse messages on the streets. His art indicates that he is a little bit of a wise guy, which his audience loves. The artist is currently transitioning from illegal street artist to having commissioned murals. Mobstr challenges the way we view public space. He is to be appreciated for his humor and ability to shift between being the bad boy of street art and a hired artist reaching out to a broad audience.

And they did…

Another street artist, SpY, has been surfing on the same wave. The Spanish street artist works with appropriating urban elements to his work through transformation or replication. In a sense, his art is a commentary on urban reality. He works with a variety of supports and styles and does not limit his craft solely to the mastering of words. SpY is a graffiti writer and author from the 80s. He established himself as a street artist during the 90s by starting his journey with eclectic urban art installations in Madrid and  in various cities throughout the world.

Both artists are bringing new shapes to urban landscapes turning the streets they work on into an international dialogue from city to city.

London based artist Conor Harrington was recently in Spain for the Wide Walls Event where he laced the streets Mallorca with a new piece. Conor stays true to his dripping technique in this portrait of a young boy (above), the monochromatic palette allowing the drama of the image to shine.

Fin Dac and Dtoar, have been working on a new collaboration in the streets of LA. Their styles intertwine perfectly, delivering a wholly harmonious piece. Like with Conor Harrington, the lack of color creates a focus on shapes and shadows to create movement and realism. This explosion of monochromatic tones carry as much vivacity as any use of color could. From textured brush strokes to dynamic framing, these artists have monochromes down pat.

Spanish street artist Vinz is back. His sensual works recently hit Valencia, Spain for “Market.” The “Feel Free” project uses nudes and sex as a symbol of love and friendship.

The critique of consumerism in art has been overexplored. Here is an intresting reflection on the use of human bodies and sexuality in the advertising industry to sell products that rarely have much to do with the painted picture. The D&G reference is reminiscent of the highly criticized D&G ad setting a gang rape scene (below):
