New Video: Salomon Faye – “W.T.F.”

The Illuzion leader Salomon Faye is back at it with his new visual for the banger “W.T.F.” The Paris-born, Harlem-bred MC has been making a lot of noise lately in the world of music and fashion and has now unveiled his latest release in promotion of his upcoming EP “The Stimulation” to be released April 28th. The video was originally debuted through Big Boy’s site which was paired with an in-depth interview which can be found here.
Make sure to check the monochromatic video down below as Salomon and his crew take over an abandoned section of NYC while rapping ruthlessly about self preservation and loyalty for his camp. Don’t sleep on one of New York’s most prominent MC’s ready to cause tidal waves of buzz in 2015. New Video: RATKING – “So It Goes”

RATKING released their project, So It Goes, back in March and it was quite the unforgettable piece. The group is back with the release of the visual for the title track from the project. New Music: Ratking – “Canal”

Subterranean NYC rap crew Ratking has released, “Canal,” the first single from their upcoming debut album, So It Goes. The song is a fluid assemblage of disparate sounds: a stream of opaque rhymes from Wiki, a high-pitched sample, overwhelmingly loud synths, schizophrenic percussion. No element of the song is individually discernible; the track rolls on as one unit, one experience. The best part of the song is the moment toward the end when additional vocals begin to overlap, like relay racers colliding as they leave their lanes.

“Canal” is a a strange beast, but attempting to tame it isn’t the right approach. Instead, you have to become a beast yourself, embracing the song’s formlessness and losing your own form as well. Listen below.
