After hitting #1 on the Billboard Jazz charts last year with Jazz [Deluxe], Smith and Hay return with Jazz Part Two on June 28th. The duo teams up with legendary SiriusXM / Shade 45 radio personality King Tech for their ambitious sequel. A few months back, King Tech (with Sway Calloway) was featured on Eminem‘s 20th-anniversary release The Slim Shady LP (Expanded Edition) and now Tech appears here on Jazz Part Two. 

In 2018, high-profile record producers Jonathan Hay and Mike Smith topped the Billboard Charts in multiple genres including jazz, faith-based and hip-hop. Smith and Hay plan on returning to the charts with Jazz Part Two, followed by a slew of other major releases in the jazz genre including Liquor, Jazz & Jail Tattoos (featuring Yung Bleu, Juicy J, Denny Strickland and Nelly‘s artist T-Rell), Follow The Leader (with Benny Reid and Mani Ajami), Snacks! (with Atlas Jenkins) and The Illusion Delusion. The gun contained in the cover art for Jazz Part Two is the actual weapon that was used in Jonathan Hay’s violent home invasion on April 20, 2017. The assault is a reoccurring theme on the album, as Hay credits music as the main coping mechanism. With these next five releases, Smith and Hay has its sights set on being the next big player in jazz music.
