Nicki Minaj further exposes why she needed those pills and potions on her latest track “Bed of Lies” featuring Skylar Grey. The song was first performed on the MTV EMA’s last week. On the 4:30 minute studio track Minaj and Grey tell a tale of betrayal and deceit against a piano-driven instrumental.

Unfortunately for Minaj, the tale isn’t one of fiction, “I just figured if you saw me if you looked in my eyes, you’d remember our connection and be freed from the lies,” she raps about her ex. Listen to  the heart-felt track in full above, and look for it on The Pinkprint come December 15th.

T.I. has a message for the people. His “New National Anthem” featuring Skylar Grey relays the all too common problems in a hate fueled society. T.I. hits on some pretty interesting topics such as the backwards thinking of America,”Let me ask you something. If the kids are the future, tell me why you can get more for being C.O., than you can for being a teacher. Tell me why it means more to the government to pay the people who got to watch over the prisoners, more than the people who got to keep the children from becoming prisoners.” The song is timely and stems from recent incidents and uproar surrounding the murder of 19 year old Michael Brown.

Attempting to get to the root of why things like this happen, T.I. offers his  suggestions and solutions to the on going problem of gun violence and drug usage; “Man this is the result of you refusing to deal with the issues at hand. We are a product of the environment you placed us in …we ain’t do it…we just live through it.”Listen to #NewNationalAnthem.
