New Music: Tommy Tattz – “Pooty Tang”

Embodying all the credentials of a certified hustler, Northern Virginia native and tattoo-artist turned recording artist Tommy Tattz bursts back on the scene with the follow-up single to his well-received street anthem, “Grinding” featuring Memphis underground rap legend Project Pat. Entitled “Pooty Tang,” the XXXProductionz (Kid Ink, 2 Chainz, BoB, Juicy J, T.I. etc.) produced cut is perfect for the club, but works just the same at a house party or cookout.

New Music: JR & PH7 x Chuuwee – “Florin’ Light Rail” (Video)

Below System Records brings us another dope visual. “Florin’ Light Rail”, off JR & PH7 and Chuuwee‘s latest collaborative release, takes us on a visual journey on and off Sacramento’s public transportation. A description here is unnecessary, just trust us and check it out belowThe single package for “Florin’ Light Rail” is now available, which features the original track, an acapella version, and the Drew Dave remix (who is fresh off his Mello Music Group release ‘SynthBASED‘). If you didn’t hear the remix yet you’ve been sound asleep – check it out real quick:

German production duo JR & PH7 are two producers who have an extensive resume and an acclaimed reputation on the hip-hop scene. This is not the first go-around for a collaboration with Sacramento’s Chuuwee, but the first full length effort and certainly their most crafted, complete body of work. There’s no denying that the three of them have ridiculous amounts of chemistry.

This may be the closest you get to a ride through Sacramento streets without actually visiting, while Chuuwee displays solid story telling and situational endeavors over JR & PH7’s convincing soundscapes. Aside the locational execution, relatable subjects were addressed – growing up, family ties, relationships and the power of a dollar. The features are tasteful, but don’t overwhelm the lp, with help from the wests own Blu, St3wart KooL, Bueno and Sean LaMarr. The record is an solid release for 2015, as there is still a lot of phony “hip-hop” being released. Be sure to grab your digital copy at iTunes. A$AP Rocky Dishes On What He Wants For Christmas In Fashionista Magazine

The Guggenheim hosted the International Gala benefit this past Thursday and some of the fashion industry’s most-respected were in the building. One of the guests was fellow Raf Simons supporter and Harlem native A$AP Rocky.

Dressed in a crisp white shirt, leather skinny pants, oxfords, and a black jacket, the newly single rapper told Fashionista magazine what he wants for this Christmas. When asked what’s on this holiday’s wishlist, Rocky responded:

I hope I find a girlfriend so she can buy me nice gifts!

Rocky also shared how he finds the best deals after the holidays.

I prefer to go shopping after Christmas because the sales are amazing! I might have money, but why pay full-price for something that’s going on sale anyway? It doesn’t make sense.
