This Thursday, for its 50th anniversary, Amnesty International will be hosting an auction/exhibition entitled The Art of Freedom: Taking it Back to the Streets in New Zealand; the aim of the exhibit being to raise awareness of freedom of expression. The exhibition has garnered attention from a lot of New Zealand’s most popular street artists, and many have signed on to donate original pieces. Some artists include Pest5, Cracked Ink (Simon Ormerod), and ATom1746.  Additionally, The Art of Freedom: Taking it Back to the Streets will also feature Amnesty International posters from the past 50 years.
