Looks like Google is taking some hints from hip hop to attract younger users. The Google Ideas unit of the company enlisted Bristol artists Cheo and Silent Hobo to make graffiti art that is relevant to the company’s latest projects.

The artists were invited to the Google-led “Summit Against Violent Extremism” – a two-day event. Among Android t-shirt designing and YouTube video recordings, Cheo and Silent Hobo worked on five broad pieces of white canvas, documenting the main themes of the evening, such as “survival” and “passion.”

“‘It’s probably because they wanted to do something cool and different,’ said Cheo, noting that many of the attendees come from countries where they probably have never seen graffiti before.”

Silent Hobo added that Google might have invited the artists to help get the creative juices working for the other employees at the conference.
