In an unfortunate turn of events, Compton rapper YG was shot early this morning in Los Angeles. Reports are that around 1:45am, YG was shot three times in the hip, while in the studio. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. No word on a suspect, and since police are reporting that YG isn’t helping them in their search, this one might go unsolved.

We got a sense of where Nacho and Avatar were headed with Vampsterdam on their last record. They now continue the dark feel of the project with this gothic  AraabMuzik beat.

In related news, araabMuzik was recently shot but is recovering in the hospital. A rep had the following statement on the incident:

“He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can.”

Avatar Darko also sent out some well wishes — in his own way.
