Adon Shemesh from The HOGDAILY collective is back again, with a super relevant concept–a remix to Beyonce’s “Formation,” called “Suga Momma.”

Like Bey’s husband Jay, HOGDAILY makes a frequent habit of double, and even triple, entendres, that can only be appreciated by Jay & Bey fans.  The title, “Suga Momma,” is a reference to Bey’s 2006 song from her album B’Day, and also a reference to the team’s work in the kitchen.

House of God Daily is a full-service urban wellness/lifestyle brand that gets busy in the kitchen, and is out in the street slangin’ a few things; nothing illicit, we’re talking alkaline water, healthy eats, and personal training services. HOGDAILY’s founder, Shemesh, took Jay Z’s line “I am a hustler, baby; I’ll sell water to a well,” quite literally when forming the squad, which is made up of Shemesh, his brother Ahhav, the personal trainer; his cousin Pey, the cook; his cousin Baba, who is head of landscaping/maintenance, and serves as the crew’s cameraman; and lifelong friend RazWise, a talented producer and head of HOG Delivery.

While Pey is getting things cooking in the kitchen, RazWise and Shemesh are in the lab with that heat.  Choosing to remix “Formation” was deliberate.  “Formation,” which was themed around New Orleans–although nothing was actually shot there, per Queen Bey–was a natural choice for a remix to the HOGDAILY team, since they’re from New Orleans.  After watching Lemonade, Shemesh got the idea (like the rest of the Twitterverse) that Bey was taking shots at Jay, so he dropped a record letting Bey know that if she ever wants to take a young dude to Red Lobster, she can take Shemesh.  “Be my suga momma, give me that debit card so I can f-ck up some commas,” he raps.  Of course, he kept the two most important cultural references of 2016 intact:  Red Lobster, and “hot sauce in my bag, swag!”
