Shawn Chrystopher delivers his first release of 2015 and its a good one. Produced by Daniel D’artiste, “Stars Align” is a soulful track that incorporates a beautiful vocal sample. The production is a near perfect backing for the Inglewood rapper’s slow delivered rhymes that are packed with quotables. A few months ago, he released N3WPRINT EP, but with this new quality offering, fans are sure to want a new project as soon as possible.

We were introduced to Inglewood MC Shawn Chrystopher last year through “One Of My Homies,” which had us in awe for some time but while he’s been in the shadows he’s been crafting some melody for our anxious ears.  Truly complex waves are introduced over this self-produced gem.

Shawn Chrystopher caught our eye earlier this year with the video for his song “My Homies.” Now, the Inglewood, California-bred MC is presenting his project, Love Story, executive produced by Timbaland, featuring appearances from Dom Kennedy, GLC, Stunnaman, and Phil Ade. Shawn Chrystopher has dropped “Engine Running,” a track off his upcoming album Silent Films for the Blind. The rest of the album isn’t due out until September 13th, but Chrystopher is sure to have some people interested if the rest of the album is anything like this joint.  His abilities both as a rapper and producer have helped him garner a following, one that will hopefully give rave reviews come September 13th.
