RESPECT.: Where you from?

Sehemyre: i was born and raised in Venezuela but I’m currently living in Medellin, Colombia.RESPECT.: How did you get your name Sehemyre?
Sehemyre: It’s word play between “she are my dreams” and “she’s my desire”, I ended up mixing those word up and that’s how I came up with it.RESPECT.: Who are your musical influences?
Sehemyre: As far as producers go, xxyyxx was the one that inspired the most to start producing, also, Swum, Mr. Carmack, Yung Sherman, and another SoundCloud producer called rxdlxst which I have several single with.

RESPECT.: How did you first fall in love with hip-hop?

Sehemyre: I fell in love with freestyling when I was about 6 years old, I always loved playing music in the background to set the mood, and got really interested, in production when I was about 18 years old, and that’s when I started producing.

RESPECT.: Who have you worked with?Sehemyre: I’ve worked with several artists, such as: Yung Beef, La Zowi, Albany, Slime Dollaz, Diego Money, Cold Hart, Bootychain, Swaghollywood, Rewind Raps, Tommy Craze.

RESPECT.: What are you currently working/worked as far as singles and projects?
Sehemyre: At this moment, I’m trying to put out more song as an artist/singer (which are in Spanish) and I also got a lot of things coming as a producer, with artist that I really fuck with.

RESPECT.: What do you bring to the game?
Sehemyre: I bring versatility and a way to inspire others to make music without rules to just let it flow and have fun with it.

RESPECT.: What artist/producers would you like to work with in the future?
Sehemyre: I’d like to work with Unotheactivist, Yung Bans, and a more artist from the underground scene.

RESPECT.: Can we expect any new music from you this summer?
Sehemyre: Yes for sure, a lot more music coming, as an artist and a producer.

RESPECT.: What does RESPECT. mean to you?
Sehemyre: To me respect means a lot, it’s worth more than cloud, followers, and all that. Once you have respect, you got status, social proof. And more importantly you can’t buy it at the corner store, you gotta earn it the hard way little by little as time goes.
