Introducing Sebastian Navarro, better known as Charqui Punk.

The artist from Chile studied industrial design in the 90’s, but devoted his free time to sketching and drawing in pen. He began experimenting with graffiti in his own garden, only later bringing it to the streets. “Lately I have been choosing any subject matter in the context of wherever I am painting,” Punk says. This brings us to one of the key questions surrounding graffiti art: Is it the environment that influences an artists work or the work that effects the location they chose?

No matter where we may find Charqui Punk’s work, it is always tribute to his heritage. Even his simple signature design, a cat, is in honor of his pet.
