Hit the strip club with SASH and his crew in the San Francisco rapper’s stylish new video for “Try You,” the late-night banger off his upcoming album, Queen of Hearts.

When the song itself dropped back in May, it was apparent that the Ukraine native had another hit on his hands, and it’s easy to hear why. His blend of smooth Raps and Trap vibes courtesy of producer Cal-A, creates an altogether-melodic atmosphere that can reach whatever energy level you’re going for.

That being said, SASH is clearly ramping things up in the sultry “Try You” video, which was shot and edited by Red Fox Productions and directed by Hari Kooper. They captured the club-ready sound of the single and took it another level by showcasing the rapper’s playboy aesthetic. While he’s delivered relationship-centric tracks in the past, SASH definitely brings a one-night-stand feel to “Try You” that the video team recognized here.

On new Cal-A produced single, “Try You,” SASH’s brand of smooth-trap music finds the middleground between chilled-out and hype thanks to his knack for melody and meditative bars paired with a stellar ear for production.

The San Francisco-by-way-of-Ukraine artist has become well-known these past few years for his  equally laid-back and energetic joints, like last year’s “Libido.” That single turned into a breakout hit and reached the Top 200 on FM radio, and also opened doors for SASH—like getting the opportunity to open up for the likes of French Montana, Chief Keef, Ugly God, and others.

“Try You” represents another step forward for the young artist, who sounds dead-set on creating songs for hazy late-night party playlists. You can certainly get away with—and fully appreciate—bumping this track at any time of the day, but it sounds best paired with a bit of a buzz, whether it’s from your favorite drink, strain, or a mixture of both.

San Francisco-based artist Sash delivers one of his catchiest and most melodic singles to date with “Libido,” an addictive cut about what happens when you allow temptations to continue getting the best of you.

The thing is, the Ukraine native is fully aware of what can happen when he lets his feelings of lust get in the way of things. As he makes clear throughout the track, produced by Bass Kids On The Beat, Sash can’t resist letting the wrong women get in the way of his life. That’s not to say he isn’t trying to push them away; they just keep pulling him back as soon as he thinks he’s freed himself.

That all being said, Sash is definitely intent on no longer letting his “Libido” run the show. He actually declares his mission statement in the opening bars: “I don’t need anyone next to me/ Money and power’s the recipe/ You got a good little piece of me/ The devil’s got all of the rest of me.” And yet, he can’t stop giving in—and that’s just one part of what makes this song both relatable and full of replay value.

As proven by his latest single, “Lay Low,” Bay Area rapper SASH has a deft hand when it comes to blending bravado with introspection to create tracks that bang but also make you think.

The release of “Lay Low” arrives several months after his most recent project, Black Caviar, which made waves this summer with a number of standouts, including “Make Her Say” and “Mona Lisa.” And like those cuts, this track excels in its presentation of sharp lyricism and bouncy production, the latter of which comes from TraxxFDR. In addition to working with SASH, the rising producer has collaborated with the likes of Wiz Khalifa and Berner.

There are plenty of bars worth quoting on the relationship-centric “Lay Low,” but SASH really hits his mark when spitting: “Gas on the throttle, I know I’m out here just getting by/ I’m in the city with different hoes, and I’m getting high/ I need your love, it’s the only thing that keeps me alive.” Rhymes like these further accentuate his talents as an emcee, while the sing-song hook shows that the kid is clearly honing his songwriting craft. Keep an eye on him moving into 2017.

Bay Area-by-way-of-Ukraine rapper SASH is ready to make some noise with his latest project, Black Caviar, which is brimming with witty wordplay and shimmering bangers made for late nights and wild parties.

Chances are you may recognize the name on the strength of the EP’s standout singles, “Mona Lisa” and “Make Her Say.” Both portray the young spitter as a man of style who enjoys indulging on more than a few substances, hence the cheekily named “Mona Lisa.” And even though these two tracks help to introduce SASH and his approach to the world, they don’t necessarily tell the whole story.

As SASH tells it, he’s influenced equally by the good and bad he’s seen. “Everything I rap about in my songs is taken directly from my life experiences, things that have happened to me,” he explains. And even though he was more introspective on “Days and Days,” he doesn’t see his lifestyle slowing down in the near future. For SASH, “The grind never stops.”

As mentioned, the kid hails from the Ukraine, a war-torn country in Eastern Europe that he acknowledges on several BC joints, but especially on the lavish “Make Her Say” when he raps: “You don’t need a plan when survival ain’t an option/ You don’t understand, you ain’t from the places I been/ Eastern European Union tellin’ you what’s poppin’.” Hearing this opens your ears to someone who’s clearly been through some sh*t—but who’s also living it up through partying, sex, and drugs.

At least, that much is apparent on the aforementioned “Days and Days,” which closes the EP on a more reflective note. In between bars about a lost love and his hustle, SASH acknowledges the downside to the fast life when he raps bars like, “I been on the drugs and caught up in the deep end,” and “Lost in my ways, I don’t know which way I should go.” In spite of everything and all the boasting, he’s still a young man making his way, and that’s what makes BCsuch an endearing listen.
