It’s a track everyone know’s and loves. Though it’s from 2006, Santa Cruz native DJ OVERL▲PSE gave the classic “Throw Some D’s” by Rich Boy a dope new spin just in time for the New Year.

The mix starts out mellow and light, stripped down to the main hook with some bells tinkling in the background. As the hook gets louder, the background noise fades out until nothing is left but the booming bass and Rich Boy’s iconic line: “throw some D’s on that bitch/just bought a cadillac”. Just at the point when the bass is about to pop your ear drum, OVERL▲PSE drops his saturated, and dream-like signature sound for the third segment of the mix.
