As you know, Action Bronson and Earl Sweatshirt both dropped new albums last week. Bronson delivered ‘Mr. Wonderful‘, while Sweatshirt dropped off ‘Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside’. The albums faired well with Bronson raking in a #3 spot with nearly 40,000 hard copies and Earl’s bringing home a #8 spot with just a notch under 30,000. In comparison to Kendrick whom neither challenged (No Surprise here), the days of hard copy album selling huge numbers are hard to come by. It will be interesting to see what Wale and Ludacris bring in this upcoming week.

He not only notched his seventh consecutive Billboard #1 with MMLP2, debuting with 792,000 in sales, but he also became the first artist since The Beatles to have four singles in the Billboard Top 20. On top of all that, Marshall’s entire catalog racked up fresh sales this week, landing him eight spots in the Top 200, just shy of Led Zepplin’s record of nine. Chart God.

#1 The Marshall Mathers LP 2 – 792,000
#30 The Marshall Mathers LP – 10,000 (10,766,000)
#58 The Eminem Show – 7,000 (10,270,000)
#64 Recovery – 7,000 (4,509,000)

The projections for the June 18th battle are in and it’s looking good for Kanye West. HitsDailyDouble reports that Yeezus is on pace for another #1 debut for Ye, with 375 to 400,ooo first-week sales. That’s the second-highest debut of the year, behind Justin Timberlake.

Meanwhile, J. Cole’s Born Sinner comes in at a respectable 2nd and is on track to sell between 290-315,000 copies, which is a nice bump up from the 217,000 that The Sideline Story scored in 2011. In a still very respectful third, Mac Miller’s latest effort will land somewhere in the 95-105,ooo range. Regardless of who you were rooting for, this is a great week in hip-hop with three releases totaling over 600,000 in total sales.
