Sadistik’s Ultraviolet is one week away and now he releases one of the most anticipated records from the LP. Featuring the late Eyedea, “Chemical Burns” brings us aggressively  introspective verses over haunting production. It’s worth noting that Sadistik featured an extremely heartfelt tribute to Eyedea on his previous album, Flowers for My Father, so finally releasing a collaboration he’s had in the can with him feels all the more special. Ultraviolet, Sadistik’s follow-up to 2013’s great Flowers For My Father, is due out on July 1. Today, the Seattle wordsmith gets the promo ball rolling with a self-directed video for the album’s intro. The macabre “Cult Leader” video features a potential nod to Donnie Darko, with a creepy giant rabbit, while the track ends with a soundbite from a real-life cult leader in David Koresh. CunninLynguists are embarking on their Strange Universe tour this April, so it’s only right that they have some fresh music to perform. Sadistik already dropped one of the best under-the-radar projects of the year, but he’s not taking any time off. Coming off a tour with the Cunninglynguists last year, he’s hitting the road again for the Bedlam & Breakfast tour next month.
