Sad Boy’s flow is a very unique one- it sounds conversational, yet packs the effect of a written message. On “Black & Browns” off YG’s project, Sad Boy flourishes and paints the gritty reality of lower income hispanic families- incessant discrimination, lack of proper housing, a lack of motivation to be great because of the surroundings, etc. It’s no wonder a conscious YG linked up with the insightful mind of a person whose heritage isn’t brought up as frequently as it should be (unless of course it’s certain politicians badmouthing them).

In his most recent track, Sad Boy comes through with an anthem concerning gang life; no surprise coming from a rapper whose made his stance about gang culture very clear.
