Dreamville dropped off their compilation album, Revenge of the Dreamers III, back in July. It boasts features from the record label signees amongst others like DaBaby, Kendrick Lamar, Yung Baby Tate, Buddy, and so forth. Today, Dreamville debuts the music video for the standout and final cut “Sacrifices.” The song features Johnny Venus, J. Cole, Saba, and Smino while production is handled by Groove and Tha Bizness.

Last month, Johnny Venus (one half of EARTHGANG) announced that his mother would be in the song’s visuals. The label flew her out on the one year anniversary of his father’s passing. “I couldn’t have done any of this without my family of friends who have stood by me throughout the entire time,” Venus states.

Saba – Symmetry

Saba may be one of the hidden gyms out of the Chicago area, but his time is coming sooner than later. His 2014 ‘Comfort Zone‘ kicked the floodgates open more than ever, now branching off into more music.

“Symmetry” is the latest from Pivot Gang’s Saba. Unique with all of his deliveries, Saba is more on the vocalizing side of the spectrum on this new track. The song was premiered yesterday (July 28) on Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe. You may remember “Angels” which both Chance The Rapper and Saba put their best foot forward for their city.

Saba is working on his new album; still unsigned and progressing with a steady force. If you’ve ever listened to Saba, you know he’ll bring a diverse sound to his new album, not remaining within a boxed area. “Symmetry” is just a little taste of what you’ll get on the new full-length album.

Saba recently joined forces with Redbull to bring a new documentary titled ‘Remember the Name: Saba.”

Check out the new song below and enjoy.

Chance The Rapper Debuts New Video ‘Angels’ [WATCH]

Chance The Rapper is currently fire. The flames can be seen from millions of miles away. Who didn’t know that? He has made an influential name for himself in hip-hop. Well, Chance The Rapper is currently living in the moment because 2016 is definitely his year. But then again, so was 2015 and maybe 2017, if he keeps grinding.

If you didn’t know, Chance The Rapper grew up on the South side of Chicago. His father also works for the mayor. He was the first independent recording artist to perform on Saturday Night Live. As an independent artist, he’s collaborated with Justin Bieber, Madonna, and Kanye West. He has also earned a headlining slot at Lollapolooza, which is a pretty big deal.He also designs White Sox hats. These caps are limited edition hats. He has an endorsement deal with the White Sox brand. They wanted the rapper to endorse their team in an attempt to attract a younger audience to the sport. There were only 2,000 hats made.

Chance The Rapper has been pretty busy this year. He also released a video “Angels” this week. In the video he plays a super hero. Throughout the video, he flies; all the while dancing on top of a train. The clip starts out with him flying in the air super fast. The rapper can be seen flying through a city. Chance The Rapper is indeed in the moment. Then, out of nowhere, people are seen dancing in a subway car to his music. The rapper even has a dance break with Saba, who also features in this song. The dance break is pretty impressive to this rocking anthem. Who knew they could dance so well in coordination? Check it out below.

Chicago producer and rapper Saba is definitely putting in work for 2016. After working with other Chi-town representatives like Chance the Rapper and Noname Gypsy, Saba is back with and spitting fire on his latest track, “Soap Box”.

On the three minute track, Saba spits over a gritty influenced beat created by himself and Pholeix. The guitar perfectly complements his flow while his singing on the hook takes the track to another level.

I set a fire to the flames in hell/Lord help, Lord help
I been too quiet now I’m outta my shell / They ain’t rocking with it, oh well
And I’ve seen the days come and go /I’d swear that I’ve been here before
I felt the top I feel the low / Meet me on the ground ten toes

In an interview with XXL, the 21 year old spoke on his inspiration behind his craft.

“Music reaches you in a way that no other thing can. So to be that voice, to be that conscience that leads you to the light. Just as a young person, I feel like that shit is important and that’s what I would like to be for a young child out there somewhere. Preferably from the West Side of Chicago so they can know that this shit is possible. And not even this shit like, ‘Hey go be a rapper,’ but go take that risk and go be what you want to be.”

Listen to Saba get everything off his chest on his “Soap Box” below:
