Rising hip-hop artist Russian Roulette hits our site today to premiere his new visual. In his latest music video entitled “Stay down,” the artist teams up with Mod Sun and fellow twin cities rapper Yogi Boi Choir. The best way to describe the music video is lit! It is also very fun to watch as there is plenty of interesting looks and wacky things going on. When asked about the making of the visual Russian shares,

“First of all BIG shout-out to my homie Taj (Yogi Boy Choir) for the hook. I can remember being 16 riding the 16 to school spitting 16’s with my boy Taj. We came along way from a couple years ago. Now shooting this video was something else, Modsun brought nothing but good vibes into the room, I had some homies pop out for the shoot, the dancers were incredible, shout out to my production team, Dustin Bath, his film crew, and my manager Nathan James. Everyone came together for about 10 hours and we made this happen. I just wanted to create a good vibe with a positive message. Stay down until you come up. Be humble and appreciate the ride. 3 years ago I was homeless and now I’m making music with Modsun, ‪Layzie Bone‬, and ‪Madchild‬, getting to shoot amazing videos with Dustin, and I have the pleasure working along side Nathan James. Life is a trip and I love my fans, without them this wouldn’t be possible, this has been along time coming and we are finally here. Blast this joint as loud as you can.”

Whether or not The Alchemist is appropriately named has never been debated. It is a verified fact that when he produces tracks, he takes obscure noises and transmutes them into sonic gold. For his latest project, Russian Roulette, he composed a full album of songs sampling Russian music. The single, “Flight Confirmation,” features the lyrical services of Danny Brown and Schoolboy Q. Unless you’re a dirty hipster who regularly listens to esoteric Russian music, this song is unlike anything you’ve ever heard. Check it out.
