Lacy The Great has released a fire new record titled “No City Girls”. Drawing influences from Lauryn Hill, Nas, UGK, and 8 Ball & MJG, the southern-bred artist has an authentic sound destined for greatness. At this point in his career he has matured as a man, which has heavily influenced his decision making when it comes to women.

As a result, Lacy offers up a more vulnerable track showing a softer side to his music. He exclaims that this single was sparked after a conversation with one of his homeboys. “I told him how she was different. She wasn’t trying to twerk everywhere she went. She wasn’t loud and ghetto and saying n*ggas ain’t sh*t. She was literally a girl my mom would want me to date. I told my homeboy I’m done with “city girls,”.

Roscoe Dash has a bone to pick Kanye West. And Wale. And the music industry as a whole.

The Atlanta rapper is best known for his “All the Way Turnt Up” single, but he feels he should be known for a few other things he’s penned. He took to Twitter to express his frustration about not being included in the Cruel Summer album credits. He says he was a part of the “To the World” record and that his ad-libs can still be heard on the song.

He also tweeted that he wrote the chorus to “Lotus Flower Bomb” for Wale and received no credit for that either. Miguel told Complex that Roscoe’s claims are false and the writing process was behind himself, Wale and “an alternative artist.” Kanye’s camp have yet to comment.

Fat Joe might not be the most apt rap name in the game anymore. Nevertheless, Joe is making waves with both his weight loss and his music. Over the weekend the video for his latest star-studded track, “Pride N Joy,” surfaced, but unfortunately Yasiin Bey (AKA Mos Def) is noticeably absent from the festivities. This cut will appear on Joey Crack’s upcoming eleventh studio album, but no release date has been set for the project. Some gratuitous product placement makes this video a bit tough at times, but Hype Williams delivers another compelling visual. Be sure to check out the video below.
