Really.  What was the deal with Nicki Minaj‘s performance last night at the Grammy’s?  I sure as hell don’t know.  All I know is that there is a good reason for the priest in the above picture to be holding his ears.  Nicki probably didn’t even have to tell him to do it; she wouldn’t have had to tell me.  After a few confused minutes of Minaj’s performance of her new single, “Roman Holiday,” Nicki had me doing my best impression of the three monkeys you see everywhere. Eyes covered, ears plugged.  Now if only Nicki could’ve played the third monkey and covered up her mouth.

Now I am not going to be all out hate here.  Of course the act was going to be over the top.  There was no performance from Lady Gaga, and Paul McCartney  and Tony Bennet both did wonderful jobs of helping me catch up on my sleep.  Nicki was … well … Nicki was Nicki.
