Sometimes we sleep light and sometimes hard. This time it’s on Rockie Fresh‘s most recent single, “I Need”. If Rockie Fresh hasn’t won you over by now, then you probably need to hear this one. The Chicago native dropped this gem earlier this month and it’s still buzz worthy. Rockie gives the original sample of Maverick Sabre’s “I Need” a Kanye-esq vibe while spitting off honest lyrics; “Understand me, I want more for my family/Don’t matter what they hand me, I’mma turn it to gold/They dealin’ with some issues and gettin’ right with my soul.” Rockie’s first album with MMG is scheduled to be out during early 2015. Don’t sleep too light on this one.
