Wisconsin’s own Rob Hicks has an early Christmas present for his fans — a new video for his latest single “Bail Money” featuring BoodahDARR.

This riveting piece of work does a great job at bringing the lyrics to life and engaging watchers with the concept. Directed by Brett Schmidt, “Bail Money” is definitely a prominent record for the game.

When asked about his inspiration to write this record, Rob was very thorough with his response.

“I honestly just make music bro! If anything inspired this record, it would be the environment that my people live in. Like a lot of us have been brought up and seen a lot of dirty money and sh*t. Just the pain behind that perception is really what inspired me to write this.”

In late 2015, the Wisconsin rapper Rob Hicks joined the ‘ThriftSoul’ collective, and has been very selective with releasing music ever since. In late 2016, he made his official label debut by releasing two new tracks “Perception” and “SYNERGY”, which caught the eye of many hip hop platforms worldwide.  The two releases have made Rob one of the top artist coming out of Wisconsin right now as well as landed him his first distribution deal. Rob’s shifty flow, unique voice cadences and the ability to switch from high to low effortlessly has earned him a number of Danny Brown & Kendrick Lamar comparisons as of recently.

Paradise In Hell is a project that Rob likes to describe as a “project about lust, wrath and sorrow.” The EP features capitol records signee Ted Park, Trapo and CCM member BoodahDARR. With production being handled by Air Kalo, Medasin, Mike Regal, Nate Maelz and more , Paradise in Hell serves as a great introduction for Rob into the music industry!
