In a time when music and the arts in schools are a luxury, Crime was fortunate enough to be exposed to music in school during his most formative years. This introduction led to his development in the art of rapping. Armed with musical knowledge and a local following, Crime did what most kids who were musically inclined, in neighborhoods across America did, he formed a group, and while he composed and performed mainly for fun, his professional path was clear.

Crime just released his first single “Right Now” produced by OT Beats. The single is an energetic street, club anthem. “Brooklyn Style” kicking in the door of the music industry with real music the streets can relate to. Crime is letting everybody know, “We can go to war, or we can get It right now,” meaning roll with him or get rolled over. He is real, about his business and here to stay.

Georgia artist Resource steps aside from his group FTGU, a duo composed of Resource and his twin brother Jam, to share a solo EP titled Soul. Inspired by J Dilla and DJ Premiere, Resource tenaciously searched for beats throughout the web to put together the soothing sound Soul delivers. Production credits go out to Ricky Vela, Tom Misch, BluntedBeatz, Tom Misch, and James Beau Barclay.

The 5-track body of work was created in Resource’s bedroom studio, with the only feature on the project being Jam on “What Up”. Check out the music video for “What Up” here. “I’m giving what I got until there’s nothing left/Every now and then, my life is such a mess,” Resource spits.

Asking listeners to search within themselves, Resource is introspective and relatable all while remaining melodic in every song. “Right Now,” a stand-out cut that appears fourth on the project, is an upbeat, motivational single that has great potential. The EP though short, is quite an experience that is worth a listen. Stream below!

Sometimes when a new sound is gaining traction in the mainstream, you have to switch it up just a little bit in order to stay relevant in the game. Uncle Murda did just that with his new track “Right Now” featuring Future. Murda can be heard harmonizing via autotune over a trap beat, not to mention a catchy hook from Future. These are all the right ingredients for a hit, especially with the type of year Future Hendrix and Metro Boomin’ have been experiencing. The song has been gaining spins for the past few weeks and now they drop the visuals to compliment the buzz. Keep your eyes peeled for guest appearances from Fabulous, DJ Clue, DJ Drewski, amongst others. Say what you want about Uncle Murda’s decision to switch it up, but the song is dope. Tennessee is chock-full of hip hop talent, and yesterday we got a video from the dynamic duo of Rio and Petty. “Right Now” is a feel-good tune that is set up by some great production on behalf of Rio, who then delivers a quality verse along with Mr. Petty Kane Jr.

It just premiered yesterday, and takes place in a vintage-looking rollerskating rink laden with multi-colored lights, which gives the upbeat track a real funky feel.

Indiana rapper Nyzzy Nyce is back with another video for his upcoming mixtape, Nothing Nyce. The production is just as bleak as it was for “I Just Rather,” but the song as a whole is much more celebratory.
