Though Philo does not currently offer any live sports programming at this time they are open to the discussion of sports networks so long as it does not impact our core value and affordability of the customer experience. However with the ever changing market they plan to embrace opportunities to offer additional content such as sports as add-ons that allow customers to customize their content offering according to their tastes.

I personally did a 7 day trial with Philo and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed watching BET since I cut the cord. Catching up on old  childhood favorites like “Fresh Prince” “Martin”and “The Parkers”  this streaming experience while!

Also returning to the lineup is a new instalment in the ongoing “Anatomy of…” documentary series created in partnership with Sol & Jennia Fredrique Aponte of Full Frequency Media. The new 30-minute special Anatomy of Black Love premieres on Friday, Feb. 14th at 9pm EST. It is expected to be an unapologetic and powerful look at modern love in the black community and features intimate interviews with couples Michael Jai and Gillian White, Devale and Khadeen Ellis, Tariq Walker and Malinda Williams, and more.

The #BHMX initiative extends online to REVOLT.tv & REVOLT’s social media channels, where the network will be publishing new articles and artist interviews all month long dedicated to Black Excellence, spotlighting #BHMX cultural “disruptors” on social media and asking fans to nominate their own local #BHMX “Community Heroes”. Each Friday, REVOLT will feature one of these nominated heroes across their social media accounts. Fans can contribute to the conversation online using hashtag “#BHMX”. Since signing with Roc Nation this past spring, Vic Mensa has seemingly been all over the place. From dropping fire freestyles on the airwaves to tearing the stage up on TV, Vic has definitely been putting in work and living up to expectations, and his most recent appearance on Revolt TV is no exception. During his time there, he debuted a new, high energy, Skrillex-produced track, entitled “No Chill” which had the crowd going crazy with it’s Jaden Smith and Allen Iverson references. Island Def Jam artists Maliibu N Helene recently stopped by REVOLT TV to perform their latest single, “Figure 8.” The DJ Mustard-produced track is the second single released from the singing and rapping mashup. With a new EP coming out in June, be sure to keep an ear out for this duo.
