Compton, California might be one of the top 5 hotbeds for talent in Hip-Hop history. Boasting legends like Eazy-E, Kendrick Lamar & more, the city has always kept it’s hat in the ring with newer cats like Westside Boogie carrying the torch now. Looking to build a legacy of his own, Compton rapper RedAngel drops his brand new video for, “Run It Up.”

Shot in your everyday studio, “Run It Up” sees RedAngel recruits Grammy nominated singer, K. Briscoe & rising rapper, KidRed for the dope new video as the trio smoke, create and have fun in the studio. With Briscoe carrying the load on the hooks, KidRed & RedAngel take turns ripping the infectious production, one after the other, highlighting a budding chemistry between the trio.

With RedAngel beginning to build a buzz of his own, now would be the perfect time to tap in. Watch, “Run It Up” above.

After releasing one of the month’s more well received projects in, Red October III, Compton native RedAngel is back with the brand new visuals for, “Slidin’” a rugged but infectious cut from his aforementioned project.

Filmed by Lijuan Stephens and set to the backdrop of a cold, dark night, “Slidin” is a straight to the point visual, that plays right into the lyrics and the title. Hanging out in front of the police station, Red let’s off solid bars about life behind bars, as well as how to stay from behind them. With a visually pleasing video to go alongside an already infectious song, you can bet on “Slidin” becoming a favorite from the project.

Check out, “Slidin” below and be sure to keep an eye on RedAngel.

Chicago to Compton artist RedAngel has been making some significant noise lately. After dropping a couple of well received tracks including his Nef The Pharaoh assisted banger, he returns with his high octane new mixtape, Red October III: Halloween Gang.

Clocking in at a solid 13 tracks, the project is a solidly curated tape that builds on the sound Red established in his singles. Riding over bouncy, trap inspired production, Red never waivers with his lyricism and still shines brightest on a tape full of aggressive features including Skeme, AD, Skooly & of course Nef.

Standout tracks from the project would be, “Bag Talk,” “In My Mode,” & the Compton Menace assisted track, “Moving Fast.” With 13 tracks to digest a piece of Red’s story, the 3rd installment of Red October is the meal we were promised after a few promising appetizers.

Check the tape out below and get familiar with RedAngel.

Since the the very beginning, both Northern & Southern California have been staples in Hip-Hop. Whether it’s legends like Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and more hailing from So Cal, or it’s cultural icons like E-40 & Mac Dre from The Bay, both sides of California are lit. So it’s no surprise, that rising Compton rapper RedAngel would tap in with one of the Bay’s hottest acts in Nef The Pharaoh for their dope new single, “Going To Trial.”

Serving as Red’s second inclusion on our site — as well as his producer, Steelz — the Chicago transplant is starting to build a buzz throughout industry circles. On this track, which has received praise from XXL & HotNewHipHop, we see Nef handling the melodic load while Red takes this time to establish his knack for potent punchlines and elusive cadences. With buzz starting to build, & a co-sign from Nef, RedAngel is starting to breakthrough.

Check out, “Going To Trial” below and be sure to keep hip to RedAngel & Nef The Pharaoh.

When it comes to cities that have reputations for breeding roses out of concrete, it doesn’t get more notorious than Southside Chicago, Illinois, and Compton, California. Despite the well publicized issues in each town, classic artists keep emerging from the struggle. Already carving his own lane, navigating throughout the pressures of the industry, Chicago to Compton transplant RedAngel checks into the pages for the first time with his self-reflective new track, “Opportunity.”

Clocking in at a lengthy three-and-a-half-minutes, “Opportunity” is a lyrically packed song that sees Red touch on topics ranging from impending success, parental drug use & just the overall perils of realizing your potential. With healthy production provided by Steelz serving as the background, buoyed by harmonious keys and infectious drum kicks, “Opportunity” is a solid follow up to Red’s recent run of success. Which includes a potent single featuring Nef The Pharaoh, which made some noise both regionally and nationally.

Check out, “Opportunity” below and be sure to keep an eye on RedAngel.
