Wu Block is a collaboration between the Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block (professionally known as The Lox), rap group members Ghostface Killah (Ghostface) and Sheek Louch (Sheek). Wu Block’s upcoming album, Wu Block 2012 (release date: Nov. 13), features original members from both original rap groups.

What makes Ghostface and Sheek unique is that both have many similarities other than surviving the rap game for 15-20 years. Both are known veterans as group members and solo acts in the rap game. Most recently, both emcees were signed as solo artists to Def Jam Records. Ghostface, the more popular of the two, is best known for hits such as, “All That I Got Is You,” “Cherchez LaGhost,” “Never Be The Same Again,” “Ghost Showers,” “Baby” and Ne-Yo’s “Back Like That (Remix).”

Sheek, who is less commercial and more mixtape/street/underground-friendly, is known for hits “Mighty D-Block (Two Guns Up),” “OK,” “Kiss Your Ass Goodbye,” “One Name,” “Good Love” and Puff Daddy and The Family’s “It’s All About The Benjamins (Remix).” With all the past success, the duo unites with The Lox and solo recording artist Jadakiss to add their street fire flows for the duo’s second single titled, “Stick Up Kids.” The Red Spyda-produced track, visits the hardcore ’90s street rap that both emcees and their respective groups are known for without the need to gain fans by going gold or platinum.
