“You never know what you have until it’s gone” is a saying we all know very well. R-Mean remembers the late rapper Prodigy with one of his ‘Mean Monday’ singles titled “Quiet Storm Freestyle.” Those who are Mobb Deep fans or just Hip-Hop heads in general will recognize the beat instantly.

It’s a trend to honor the fallen angels who we’ve lost throughout the years with songs and biopics. That’s good and all, but it’s also important to give them their flowers while they can still smell them.

Could This Be The Best Release of Mean Mondays?

Tupac Shakur fans across the nation were hype when they found out a biopic was being made in his honor. R-Mean saw this as an opportunity to make another 2Pac related song for his Mean Mondays series.

“All Eyes On You” is so well put together that it has the potential to be listed as the best song of the series. Not to completely push all of the other songs aside because they are all good, but it’s just something about this particular track that does something to the soul.

After you listen to it once maybe you’ll understand.

For the 20th week in a row, R-Mean drops a hot new record for of his 52-week-long #MeanMondays series. Chris Webby joins in this week along with Jason French for the hot new feature “Babylon.”

French has an incredible voice and his soul is heard through out the record, singing, “Don’t let the Babylon bring you down”; a quote that can rejuvenate the soul when hard times hit.

R-Mean continues to keep it real though out his weekly series, and “Babylon” is proof that the Armenian-American rapper has what it takes to become an industry staple.

“Overtime” makes release 19 for #MeanMondays and just like all the other releases, it’s fire! R-Mean has proven how lyrically skilled he is over and over again. Week after week, he gives us Hip-Hop hits; this week he slows it down.

Producer DREAMLIFE generated a soulful beat and Breana Marin sings with a seductive voice. Lyric Jones also brought memorable bars and a feminine touch.
