The name CARTER pays homage to Dr. Carter G. Woodson, historian, author, journalist and Founder of Black History Month. Queon Martin, founder of Carter, aims to bridge the gap in between generations, so the youth understand the past and work to effectively collaborate with adults in the present. Martin was named one of JET Magazine’s Top 10 Game Changers Under 40 and is still striving to educate people every step of the way.
