[Watch] Charlamagne Tha God Gives Nicki Minaj “Donkey of the Day” For Recent Twitter Outbursts

Nicki Minaj has seemingly been on a rampage lately, lashing out at everyone including her ex, Safaree, Lady Gaga, the media and now Travis Scott, Drake, and Spotify.

After the weekly numbers were released on Sunday (Aug 19) showing that Astroworld artist Travis Scott nabbed the number one spot, Nicki Minaj has been seemingly tweeting erratically blaming her number two spot on almost everyone but herself.

The “Chun Li” rapper took to Twitter on Sunday and explained in a series of tweets how she believes the only reason why Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD earned the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s 200 for the week was due to being featured as an amenity for his “ASTROWORLD: Wish You Were Here” tour merchandise bundles.

“I spoke to him,” Minaj tweeted. “He knows he doesn’t have the #1 album this week.”

Although sales were the latest reason for her rant, it wasn’t the only shade thrown over the course of the weekend. After a scathing article was published in Pitchfork criticizing Minaj for working with convicted child sex offender Tekashi69, Minaj lashed out at media claiming that she received “information” that media outlets were being “paid” to slander her.

“When I was told they were being paid to write these things I didn’t believe it, now I know it’s true ?? #Queen bitch!!!! ???♥️‼️ I got the proof on that too. Loving my life. They so bothered by this lil south side Jamaica QUEEN. I’m supposed to keep letting these ppl get money to bully me behind the scenes & not say anything. Yikes. All of these antics not only left fans scratching their heads but according to Charlamagne Tha God proved that Nicki’s antics earned her the hilarious spot of “Donkey of the day.”

During the hilarious eight-minute segment, Charlamagne drops some jewels for Minaj letting her know that the number two spot isn’t the worst position to be in and even complimented her new album as being the best from the Young Money queen yet.

“Nicki you must have been watching too much Talladega Nights because the ‘if you’re not first you’re last’ mentality is not true. You put out a good body of work and sold 185,000 units, you right now are being a sore winner. Nothing you’re doing is queen-like and let’s say that all of the people are to blame for you having the number two album in the country, who was to blame for you having the number two album in 2015 because Pink Print did the same.”

Charlamagne then went on to warn Nicki to cherish her success at where she is, before playing her 2014 hit “Did It On ‘Em”, before adding the shadiest moment of all by allowing Nicki’s nemesis to give her “Donkey of the Day.”

“Put your number twos in the air Nicki and celebrate that win. What you don’t cherish Nicki, you will lose. Somebody get Remy Ma to giver her Donkey of the Day.”

Nicki Minaj Channels B.I.G. & Lil Kim with “Barbie Dreams,” Takes Aim at Rappers

Queen has finally arrived and what’ a Nicki Minaj album without a little controversy right?

As previously reported, Nicki Minaj dropped her highly anticipated album Queen and decided to spill some tea with the release. After previewing the song “Barbie Dreams” on her latest venture with Apple Music, Queen Radio, fans couldn’t wait to rewind and assess the victims of the verbal dragging on the Lil’ Kim inspired track.

“Reading the reactions to Barbie Dreams is fucking hilarious,” Nicki said as soon as the song was released. “Everyone is saying how disrespectful ‘Barbie Dreams’ is, and that’s why I fucking love it.”

The track which samples the Notorious B.I.G‘s original song “Dreams”, jokingly takes aim at the rappers who have tried to sleep with the “Bed” emcee. Tapping into her mixtape days, Nicki Minaj calls out a slew of rappers including Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Eminem, and Young Money labelmate Drake, who Nicki claims all wanted a piece of the Barbie cakes.

“Drake worth a hundred milli, always buying me shit/ But I don’t know if the pussy wet or if he’s crying and shit/ Em copped a Barbie dream house and you can play the part/ I ain’t tryin’ to bust it open in a trailer park/Used to fuck with Young Thug, I ain’t addressing this shit/ I caught him in my dressing rooms stealing dresses and shit”

Nicki even threw a few shots at her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill, claiming that the “Dreams and Nightmares” emcee has still been creeping in her DMs on the low shooting his shot.

“Meek still be in my DMs, I be having to dump him/ ‘I used to pray for times like this,’ Face ass when I fuck him”

With the release of the album, of course, the BARBZ went in on Twitter, adding hilarious reactions to the track.

Although Nicki came with it on “Barbie Dreams”, many Hip-Hop fans were unimpressed at her shout out to Biggie, but ignoring of Lil Kim who came up with the original concept of the “Dreams” flip for her 1996 debut Hard Core.

You know Nicki Minaj spittin over Notorious B.I.G.’s “Dreams” has Lil Kim feeling a ways. You just know.

Despite the seemingly purposeful jabs and clear influence she’s had on Nicki’s career, Lil Kim said she’s over the Nicki drama. During an interview with 92.3 The Real in Los Angeles, Lil Kim let her frustrations be heard with constantly being asked about Minaj while she’s promoting her own projects.

“Oh God. Let me ask you this. Do you f*ck with me for real?” Kim said. “Okay, so if you f*ck with me, right? Why isn’t this about Kim? Yeah, see if we’re gonna mention one female we’re gonna mention them all. We need to mention them all. We need to bring everybody in and we need to give everybody love. God bless her. What she did she did. But you know what? I wish her the best. I’m past that and over that. At the end of the day, stop asking me about that chick – she did what she did – y’all don’t do that to her. I don’t think you would [ask her about me?]”

Chelsea Reject: The Most Refreshing And Self Aware Female Voice In Hip-Hop

“Self-awareness is the capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other individuals.”

Not only is it important to have a voice and knowledge of self for all paths on this earth, but hip-hop is in demand for such. It’s seemingly easy for today’s younger generation to get lost in the midst of trap-queens and senseless subject matter. And if you think this doesn’t impact our society and hold weight on the next generation, you are highly mistaken.

Hailing from New York City by way of Brooklyn, Chelsea Reject is here not only to display creative genius but shed light on a crevice that needs the shine; queens in hip-hop. When we say queen, that takes you back to self knowledge, alongside respect, dignity and truth. Early-20 year old Chelsea is beyond qualified and reflects all of this, reminiscent of an early Lauryn Hill with an Erykah Badu aura.

With no official album out and a comfortably suited number of songs/visuals released, Chelsea is keeping fans on their toes. It is not uncommon today for artists to catch a heavy buzz and cross paths with life changing opportunities with no official album out, in which she is doing, and doing it well.

Let’s also take note of Chelsea Reject joining partnership with the legendary Duck Down Records. This speaks miles, not only because of the mark Duck Down has and continues to leave on hip-hop’s timeline, but being the first female emcee alongside the camp. It really doesn’t get much better then that, especially being in Brooklyn where it all started. Now that’s a milestone and something to certainly keep an eye on.

Coming soon this year is the ‘CMPLX’ project, which will be a compilation release. With a lot of build up and solid promotion on her and managements end, the release should be a total success. Considering Chelsea is in her early stages and still publically experimenting with her sounds and delivery, it’s refreshing to watch her grow as an artist. In a recent interview with Dj J Hart’s ‘The Big Bang Show’ she explained the project in a little more description:

“It’s a 15 track compilation of a bunch of different sounds I have been experimenting with. I have a lot of Pro Era on there. It’s going to be a different vibe. My goal is to give people a new perspective into my music. I’m trying to give people a new sound, and show my versatility.”

Let’s talk about the new wave of amazing artists hailing from New York City. Joey Bada$$ and the whole Pro Era Crew, Flatbush Zombies, Action Bronson and a handful of other standouts over the past five or six years have been go-to’s when mentioning hip-hop’s east coast life jackets. Chelsea Reject has been building with some of the best artists of our generation, and fans are excitingly sitting back and enjoying watching her journeys unfold. It’s a sigh of relief for us real hip-hop and music heads.

Before we close out, it’s important we touch on Chelsea’s stage presence. The art of performance is something that gets slightly bypassed in conversation and can easily be a slept on unofficial element in this game. I mean, it’s one thing to release awesome records and professionally edited videos. But it’s another to compliment this with a live performance, on or off your turf. We had the pleasure to catch Chelsea Reject live in Philly recently alongside Pro Era’s Kirk Knight and Mick Jenkins. She blew the lid off at the Barbary, and many other states following that evening. With all that being said, be sure to catch her live when you can. It will not be a disappointment.
