Pharrell is a ladies man, there’s no doubt about that, and he’s currently planning to transform his fancy for fine women into liquid gold–or cream to be exact. BULLET media recently caught up with Pharrell Williams to sip, sniff, and sample his newest line of pale pink cream liquer made exlusively for the finer females in his life. Along the way, business, fashion, and music enter the mixer, keeping the convo just the way Pharrell likes it, “shaken, never stirred”.

The pale pink cream liqueur Pharrell Williams pours into a tumbler of ice isn’t just for me, but for all womankind. He urges me to smell, to sniff, to sip, watching attentively for my reaction.

The idea came to him after listening to the concerns of his female friends—most of his friends are female—and he cared, he really cared, that there wasn’t yet a good, sweet drink out there for women of discerning taste. “This is not a club drink,” he says. “It’s for around the house with your girls. It’s after dinner. It’s definitely poolside.” He stares deep into my eyes. Do I taste the strawberry? Does it taste good? It’s called Qream. The Q, he says, is “because it’s made for queens.”

As we sit opposite one another, sipping Qream, Williams never once mentions [his upcoming] book, and there’s only one origin story that seems to matter to him. “What are we without women?” he muses. “All humans are here via women. Women are literally the vessels that birth us into existence.” Dig deeper, and he can’t talk about the fairer sex without slipping into double entendre. Why does he gravitate toward women? “I’m trying to find a politically correct way of saying I am what I eat,” he says, smiling because he knows exactly what image that conjures. “But I mean that in a more general and respectful way: I’m all about girls, you know what I mean? If you cut me open, all of my admiration for women comes tumbling out.” Specifically, he admires “that little elevator they have” to “deliver humans to our reality.” Another image springs to mind. “It gets incredibly dirty as you move on,” Williams says, chuckling. He has to stop himself from getting too graphic sometimes, “or it’ll be like, ‘Oh my god, did you hear what he just said? Womanizer!’

We first told you about Pharrell‘s new business a few weeks ago, and now we have more details. The artist talked to Rap-Up TV about his ventures in the liquor business.

“I looked at the market, I looked at the holes out there and it felt like indulgence and women were the two things that were being neglected,” he told Rap-Up TV. “So what I decided to do was design a drink that made sense for women that everybody could enjoy, but women knew it was for them.”

And that drink is Qream liquor, a vodka-based, ice cream-flavored beverage that Pharrell launched in Beverly Hills last night. He made the drink specific to women by reducing the number of calories.

However, is this really what Pharrell should be focusing on? The last 10 seconds of the interview mention Pharrell’s work with Tyler, the Creator, Pusha T, and Frank Ocean, but that’s after talking about his drink for a minute-and-a-half.

So many artists now look to other businesses to push forward their other ventures: Bad Meets Evil paired up with Converse to create limited edition shoes; Lil Wayne is looking to start his own clothing line; now Pharrell has developed his own liquor?
