Earlier this year, PUMA and Hip Hop titan J. Cole announced their official partnership with a TV spot that aired during All Star Weekend. The theme of that spot, which inspired J. Cole’s new signature product line, is about never abandoning one’s dream, despite the obstacles faced or time passed.

J. Cole was intimately involved in the new franchise, from initial inspiration to the final design. This first signature basketball sneaker is intended to be worn both on and off the court – equipped with the latest technology while having a fashion-forward and disruptive design. The RS-Dreamer will be worn on the court by PUMA Hoops athletes and has already been spotted on several NBA and WNBA athletes as they ramp up for their respective returns to play this summer.

The RS-Dreamer is a new silhouette that leverages PUMA’s running system “RS foam” and innovative RS technology for superior on-court mobility. The debut sneaker also includes a J. Cole “DREAMER” logo. This RS-Dreamer is the first of several signature styles with J. Cole and is inspired by his ongoing commitment to follow his dreams.

“Over the years, basketball shoes have progressed greatly in their level of technology and comfort but have strayed too far away from designs stylish enough for cultural relevancy. The Dreamer hopes to change that reality. The highest level of on-court performance meets the highest level of aesthetic design for daily wear. Once again, you can hoop in the same shoes you wore outside.” – J. Cole

The RS-Dreamer will be available exclusively in store and online at the Foot Looker Inc. Family of Brands (including Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs, Footaction and Eastbay), PUMA.com, and PUMA stores starting this Friday, July 31 for $125. A limited apparel collection to compliment the RS-Dreamer will also be available for purchase.

Since 1998, The Trevor Project has specialized in providing free crisis counseling to LGBTQ youth across the country. The partnership between The Trevor Project and PUMA is a multi-year partnership aimed at promoting and supporting LGBTQ youth participation in sports.

PUMA and several of its basketball athletes have come together for an official video PSA to raise awareness for The Trevor Project. The PSA features insight and advice from Kyle Kuzma, Katie Lou Samuelson, Walt “Clyde” Frazier, Michael Porter Jr. and Chris Brickley.

The next chance to catch the young PUMA phenom will be Sunday, March 8th as the Lakers’ take on the highly-touted Los Angeles Clippers in their final regular-season matchup. In their last battle on Christmas Day, the Clippers came away with the victory but Kuzma stepped up leading the Lakers with 25 points on red-hot shooting.
