Joey Bada$$ has made it clear that he can’t sit back and let Kendrick Lamar get away with claiming the title “King of New York.” Teaming up with Knxwledge for the production, Joey  adopts his gritty “95 Til’ Infinity” flow and goes straight for Kendrick’s head:

“My set told me to light you up so this that propane/It’s Nathan all I gotta do is spit this flame/No escaping, you in a room full of champagne/You set yourself up for that one mane/The king of New York?/Ha! we ain’t just gonna let that one hang/Last nigga got dethroned and you ain’t from my zone/The rest of the real niggas is dead and gone.”

It’s a short track, and hopefully the last Kendrick response from now til infinity, but it’s definitely one of the stronger approaches. Listen below.

Lil B and Joey Bada$$ are the two latest contenders to enter the land of hip-hop beef. The beef actually stems from a verse from the late Capital STEEZ on the track “Survival Tactics” that went at Lil B

” They say hard work pays off, Well tell the Based God don’t quit his day job”.

Yesterday Joey Bada$$ tweeted that line and sent out the first shot. Lil B wasn’t having it and decided to hit the studio and put it all in a track. Listen to “I’m The Bada$$” below.

Well Joey was touched that Lil B took the time to make a track about him so he hit the booth to record ironically “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” in hopes of ethering the Based God. Listen to the track below.

Both emcees have put their feelings on wax, so who do you think came the hardest? This beef will probably be gone tomorrow, but for now we can cook, and enjoy it.

Likely recorded when Bada$$ was touring out on the west coast, this track features the TDE thinker/3rd-eye advocate/open chakra MC Ab-Soul. “Keep your motherfuckin’ chakras open” will likely be advice given to several as the holiday season (and apocalypse) approaches. while the apocalypse is on it. The two lyricists exchange quality verses over the airy ’90s-esque beat. The people will definitely want more collaborations from these two after listening to this one.

Pitchfork grabbed some hamburgers and hot dogs to have a barbecue with Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era crew for their Selector series. The crew took turns spitting bars showing that they each have different styles but still talent nonetheless. Looks like one hell of a BBQ.
