<p>Meet <strong><a href="http://www.fintanswitzer.com/">Fintan Switzer</a></strong>, an <strong>Irish</strong> street artist. He challenges the art of street-portraiture by merging his traditional style to the urban world. “After years of painting rather conventional portraits, I wanted to try something new. Considering many of my favorite artists have worked on the street, I figured it was worth a try,&#8221; he explains. <strong>Switzer</strong>&#8216;s recent works, such as <strong> “Webcam Wars”, “Waltz With The Philistine”, “Post Oppression</strong> <strong>Depression</strong>,” are about conflict and revolution.</p>

<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/street-art-there-is-a-new-kid-in-town-fintan-switzer/7867753220_22491445ca_k/" rel="attachment wp-att-52991"><img decoding="async" data-attachment-id="52991" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2012/12/street-art-there-is-a-new-kid-in-town-fintan-switzer/7867753220_22491445ca_k/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/7867753220_22491445ca_k.jpg?fit=640%2C361&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,361" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="FINTAN" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/7867753220_22491445ca_k.jpg?fit=640%2C361&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/7867753220_22491445ca_k.jpg?fit=640%2C361&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-52991 aligncenter" title="FINTAN" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/7867753220_22491445ca_k.jpg?resize=650%2C361" alt="" width="650" height="361" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p>The viewer can see within his murals the contrast between his old style and his freeing personality. Contemporary street art meets traditional technique. The artist conveys extremely strong political messages. It is always interesting to see the perspective of street artists from different origins and backgrounds on international affairs. <strong>Switzer</strong>&#8216;s murals are quite similar to <a href="http://conorsaysboom.wordpress.com/"><strong>Conor Harrington</strong></a> who also uses the drops of paint to create a fading movement in his works. <strong>Conor Harrington</strong> will be featured in an upcoming magazine: <a href="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/musinart/phil-knotts-tally-ho"><strong><em>Tally Ho!</em></strong></a></p>
<p>Look out for this man.</p>
