Indie R&B/Pop sensation ALX (formerly alex_242) gives fans a taste of her new music with the release of the sexy single “Runnin,” produced by super producer Drumma Boy and co-producer Patrick Collier. ALX, who proudly reps her native Nassau, Bahamas roots, showcases her effortless vocal range and powerful pen game on the sultry R&B track – a surefire hit for the current cuffing season.

“This song is about making falling in love cool again. It’s about someone being there for you through ups and downs and realizing that’s the person you should have been with all along,” the songstress says.

“Runnin” is the official first single from ALX’s upcoming concept album titled Arcadia, which is expected to drop in early 2016.

“I want my fans to know I’m coming from an honest place with my music. I’m sitting here writing from my heart to them. I hope they really connect with me on this new project,” notes the Atlanta resident, who has also worked closely with industry icon Dallas Austin. The upcoming Caribbean-infused R&B/Pop album will be ALX’s debut project as an indie artist.

Former band member of the Robin Antin formed Girlicious, Chrystina Sayers has released her new single “Blame You”. Chrys recently has been dropping hints of the song as well as snippets of the beat for fans for weeks now via Instagram. Before the single’s release, Chrystina caught up with RESPECT-MAG.com on her new journey as a solo artist.

“Over the years, I really got a chance to grow not only as a artist but as a young woman. I keep my mind, body and soul balanced.” The singer later described her new team and what to be expected this time around.“I have a very fun, youthful, and energetic team that keeps me on point and always redirects my focus back to creating greatness for the fans.” She later states that she plans to re-brand as an artist.

“I have a crystal clear direction of how my team and I will be branding myself not only as a artist but as a power house brand. We can not wait to get into apparel, perfume, hair, & cosmetics.”

Chrystina’s new sound was the hot topic of her interview as she was so excited to unveil her new sound. “My genre that I am focusing on is Pop/Urban” the singer made poignant;“with splashes of reggae, electro, and soul.”

She praised Janet for the influence in her life and inspiring her to perform. “I always loved Urban Contemporary… I have always looked up to artist like Michael & Janet Jackson, as well as the rest of 90’s Pop/Urban royalty.”  

The singer says that her focus is on the love of her fans and her love for her music. She spoke passionately about her fans “The number one thing I want my fans to know is that I am, always have been a fighter and a competitor: always trying to get the best out of people and the best out of life.”

The new song Sayers released is a full on blend of her favorite sounds. With an 808, hi-hat & up tempo guitar, Chrys emulates songs like “Right By My Side” by Nicki Minaj.
