Not even the pressure that the media is putting on the kid to produce another good kid m.A.A.d city can disrupt his vibe. The picture below was captured by marketing maven and music blogger Ashley Outrageous as Kendrick prepares for his upcoming sophomore album. The caption reads “the kid is playing some amazing tunes in here… thundercat says this new album needs to be sold as a block of gold.” We’d be willing to buy it too.

J.Cole rocked the house last night during a run of Mountain Dew’s 2014 Dew Tour in Brooklyn, N.Y. Set at the House of VANS, Cole, dressed in a Braves baseball jersey, gave a real cold performance. Photographer Cody York was there to snap this cool photo as Cole ran through songs such as “Nobody’s Perfect” and “Can’t Get Enough.” Check some video footage of the performance below.

Taken from his personal Instagram, Snoop Lion captions, “Session wit skate board p n the musical genius Stevie wonder !! Uh uh !! Album comin soon #snoopdogg”. There’s no telling if this will be another hip-hop album to be compared with his eleven previous releases, or if this will be in Reincarnated‘s Reggae vein. Either way, we’re more than confident that whatever is being created will add to Snoop’s list of classics, especially when working with melodic masterminds such as Skate Board P and Stevie Wonder.

]]> espnjimiIf you are having a rough day and are in need of some comic relief, this picture will definitely do the job. Complex illustrators Sean Mack and Shea Serrano create a rap comic each week for their series called Sean + Shea. This week’s comic features Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar making a visit to The Aubrey Graham Response Center. Last week, Jay Z responded to Drake‘s Rolling Stone art rap comments on Jay Electronica‘s “We Made It” freestyle. In the offending comments, Drake called out “can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references” and that rapping about art is “corny.” Jay responded, as a rapper should: “Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk / Silly me, rappin’ ’bout shit that I really bough t/ While these rappers rap about guns that they ain’t shot/ And a bunch of other silly shit that they ain’t got.”

Now Jay is playing the waiting game, along with Kendrick, for a response from Drizzy. As noted in the picture, K.Dot has been waiting for quite some time.
