<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>Phelgm</em></strong></p>
<p>This week has been a little slow in the street-art sphere but a few artists did not fail us and produced memorable pieces. <strong>Phlegm</strong>, currently in <strong>Dulwich</strong> (above) and <strong>ROA</strong> in <strong>Peckham</strong>, <strong>London</strong> (below) produced two large monochromatic murals featuring a central character on a blank wall. If the street-art-genie grants us one wish, we would ask for a <em>real</em> <strong>Phegm X ROA </strong>collaboration. In 2011, the two artists worked on <strong>The Bussey Building</strong>, a disused warehouse located in <strong>Peckham</strong>, on an interactive installation called <strong><a href="http://www.giantrobots.co.uk/Projects.html" target="_blank"><em>Black/Light</em></a></strong> with the <strong>London</strong>-based artist collective including <strong>ROA</strong> and <strong>Phlegm, </strong>their independent universe merged in an riveting dark place. (Check out photos: <strong><a href="http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/blacklight-roa-phlegm-and-robots">here</a></strong>)</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=61237" rel="attachment wp-att-61237"><img decoding="async" data-attachment-id="61237" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-8/streetartnews_roa_peckham_london-4/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_roa_peckham_london-4.jpg?fit=457%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="457,640" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="ROA Rat Monster Peckham London" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_roa_peckham_london-4.jpg?fit=457%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_roa_peckham_london-4.jpg?fit=457%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-61237 aligncenter" alt="ROA Rat Monster Peckham London" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_roa_peckham_london-4.jpg?resize=457%2C640" width="457" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><em><strong>ROA</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Franco Fasoli</strong> aka. <strong>Jaz</strong> is surfing on the same  monochromatic-wave and produced a large piece in <strong>Vienna</strong>. In town for his upcoming solo show &#8220;<em><strong>Cult To The Character</strong></em>&#8221; at <strong><a href="http://inoperable.at/" target="_blank">Inoperable Gallery</a></strong>, the Argentinian painter just had to drop some paint onto the walls. Nice.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=61239" rel="attachment wp-att-61239"><img decoding="async" data-attachment-id="61239" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-8/streetartnews_jaz_vienna_2/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jaz_vienna_2.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,640" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Jaz Bull Mirror Vienna" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jaz_vienna_2.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jaz_vienna_2.jpg?fit=640%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-61239 aligncenter" alt="Jaz Bull Mirror Vienna" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_jaz_vienna_2.jpg?resize=640%2C640" width="640" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a><strong><em>Jaz</em></strong></p>
<p>French street artist, <strong>Ludo</strong>, plastered this new piece as a  critique of consumerism on the <strong>Parisian</strong> landscape.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=61240" rel="attachment wp-att-61240"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="61240" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-8/streetartnews_ludo_paris_francd/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_ludo_paris_francd.jpg?fit=640%2C480&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,480" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Ludo Paris Consumerism" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_ludo_paris_francd.jpg?fit=640%2C480&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_ludo_paris_francd.jpg?fit=640%2C480&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-61240 aligncenter" alt="Ludo Paris Consumerism" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_ludo_paris_francd.jpg?resize=640%2C480" width="640" height="480" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> <strong><em>Ludo</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>Stik</strong> was spotted in <strong>Japan</strong> with his signature  minimalistic figure. His piece  comes in perfect parallel with the window opposite from it. His understanding of architecture contributes to the creation of this ideal structural balance.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=61241" rel="attachment wp-att-61241"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="61241" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-8/streetartnews_shizuoka_stik_japan-1/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shizuoka_stik_japan-1.jpg?fit=640%2C480&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="640,480" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Stik Japan" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shizuoka_stik_japan-1.jpg?fit=640%2C480&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shizuoka_stik_japan-1.jpg?fit=640%2C480&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-61241 aligncenter" alt="Stik Japan" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shizuoka_stik_japan-1.jpg?resize=640%2C480" width="640" height="480" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>Stik</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>Shepard Fairey</strong> was spotted in <strong>Vienna</strong>, <strong>Austria</strong> painting the portrait of a woman holding a spray can entitled &#8220;Commanda&#8221;.</p>
<p><a href="http://respect-mag.com/?attachment_id=61242" rel="attachment wp-att-61242"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="61242" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2013/05/street-art-best-of-the-week-8/streetartnews_shepardfairey_vienna_austria-2/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shepardfairey_vienna_austria-2.jpg?fit=480%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-orig-size="480,640" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="Shepard Fairey Commanda Vienna" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shepardfairey_vienna_austria-2.jpg?fit=480%2C640&amp;ssl=1" data-large-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shepardfairey_vienna_austria-2.jpg?fit=480%2C640&amp;ssl=1" class="size-full wp-image-61242 aligncenter" alt="Shepard Fairey Commanda Vienna" src="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/streetartnews_shepardfairey_vienna_austria-2.jpg?resize=480%2C640" width="480" height="640" data-recalc-dims="1" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>Shepard Fairey </strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Zed 1</strong> and his surrealistic piece were spotted in <strong>Florence, Tuscany.</strong></p>
