Through the spectacle of their scar tissue, they reveal the cumulative effects that their previous relationships incurred. Their tones are accusatory, but their evidence is sound. They tried to endure, but their thresholds were both met and surpassed.

“Yourself” is a song for when bitterness is your only option, when you’ve wasted so much time trying to talk that your saliva becomes acid because that’s the only way you’ll be heard. Listen below.

Produced solely by Ski-Beatz, the two show some great chemistry together as Tabi Bonney effortlessly flows on top of his rich production. The lead single “Parachute” involves a killer synth and Bonney’s signature love story. With guest appearances from frequent collaborators Spitta, Yasiin Bey, Murs, and Dee-1, it’s only so long that Bonney can remain an underground artist.
